Slowing Down with Words: Nadia Colburn Shares Simple Tools for Writers to Find Everyday Balance
Colburn’s comprehensive and holistic Free Resource Library for Writers gives writers everything they need to get centered and write their best work

Cambridge, MA - Award-winning poet, memoirist, writing teacher, yogi, and activist, Nadia Colburn, Ph.D., RYT 200, is excited to announce her Free Resource Library for Writers is now available! Sign up to get free instant access today.

This robust library of free meditations, writing prompts, publication guides, and more, helps writers of all levels and genres overcome writer's block, discover their authentic voices, find clarity on the page, tap into creative flow, write with greater insight, and lead happier, healthier, and more balanced writing lives.

Colburn takes a uniquely integrated approach to writing – one that incorporates mindful and embodied practices like meditation and yoga.

“I believe we write our best work when we bring our whole selves to the page–mind, body, and spirit,” she explains.

And so she’s designed her Free Resource Library to support the whole person, the whole writer.

The Free Resource Library includes:

  • Silent Breath Meditation

  • Body Meditation

  • Metta Meditation

  • 5-Day Meditation & Writing Challenge

  • Yoga & Writing Session

  • 10 Inspiring Writing Prompts

  • Ebook: Embrace Your Story: The 7 Essential Steps to Write with More Power and Ease

  • Step-by-Step Guide: How to Get Published

  • and more!

Writers can turn to this Library at every stage of the writing process. Use the meditations to get centered before you write. Use the prompts when you’re feeling stuck. Use the ebook to develop your voice. Use the publication guides when you’re ready to publish.

For Colburn, this work is personal: “For years, I had a challenging relationship with my writing. It was only when I started incorporating meditation, yoga, and playful prompts into my writing practice that I came into flow. The tools in my Free Resource Library are the supports I wish I had when I first started writing.”

Colburn makes these invaluable resources available for free because it’s her mission to uplift as many writers as possible – and, ultimately, to make a difference in the world.

“It is my honor and calling to help people find clarity, empowerment, and healing through writing. Claiming our voice on the page helps us be present and also take action in our lives. When we are able to write the stories we’re carrying inside us, we are also able to manifest the change we want to see in the world around us.”
